Explore relevant blood markers at an agreed point in your training cycle. Record your usual training, symptoms, diet, sleep, medication and supplements in your Health Profile.
Private blood testing and practitioner-reviewed reports, with your training, recovery and long-term health in view.
A clear starting point for individual competitors, clubs and performance staff who want to understand the person behind the performance.

Test. Understand. Optimise.
Whether you compete in endurance, strength, power or team sport, the starting point is your health question and training context. The biggest panel is not automatically the most useful.
Explore relevant blood markers at an agreed point in your training cycle. Record your usual training, symptoms, diet, sleep, medication and supplements in your Health Profile.
Bring questions about persistent fatigue, changes in how you feel or recovery between sessions. Your report considers the information you provide alongside your results.
Use your report to discuss nutrition, training and any clinical follow-up with the people supporting you. Agree the purpose and timing of a repeat test before booking it.
Blood testing provides part of the picture. It does not measure sporting ability, guarantee improved performance or replace a sports-medicine assessment.
Discuss your testing needsBlood testing can help identify treatable deficiencies. Research in people with low iron or vitamin D shows why finding a problem and acting on it can matter for exercise performance and bone health.
The IRONWOMAN trial studied 26 recreationally active women with iron deficiency but no anaemia. Intravenous iron improved running economy and fatigue compared with placebo after four weeks. Better economy means less oxygen needed at a given running speed.
Peak oxygen consumption and lactate threshold did not improve compared with placebo. This small trial tested intravenous treatment in iron-deficient women, not routine testing in all athletes or faster race times.
Participants were randomly assigned to intravenous iron or placebo, with assessments before treatment, four days later and at four weeks. Iron status improved, but haemoglobin mass, mood and quality of life did not differ between groups. Treatment decisions need individual clinical assessment; this study is not a recommendation for iron infusions.
University athletes underwent vitamin D blood tests, supplementation when levels were low and retesting. The programme cohort had fewer stress fractures than historical records from the same six sports teams.
The groups came from different periods and were not randomised. These are reported cohort proportions, not equivalent annual risks. Changes in training or other care could explain the difference; this does not prove testing prevents injury.
Williams and colleagues followed 118 NCAA Division I athletes during August 2015 to May 2016, comparing them with records from January 2010 to May 2015. Low vitamin D was treated and rechecked. The study concerned stress fractures specifically, not muscle strains, ligament injuries or all sports injuries.
Our Performance & Recovery panel includes ferritin, haemoglobin and vitamin D. Your practitioner-reviewed report puts results alongside your symptoms and training context, helping you discuss appropriate treatment or nutrition changes and whether follow-up testing would be useful.
See the full performance panelThe strongest reason to test is to find out whether a treatable deficiency is holding you back. Benefits depend on what is found and what happens next. These studies did not test The Longevity Lab’s service and do not establish a performance benefit for athletes whose levels are already normal.
Blood testing alone has not been shown here to make athletes faster, stronger or less likely to be injured.
Discuss a coordinated approach for your club, squad or performance programme. We agree the testing scope, collection arrangements and costs before you commit.
Volume pricing is available for coordinated club and squad bookings. Larger groups receive better per-athlete rates for the same testing package, with the final price confirmed in your team proposal.
Include testing within your athlete-support programme. The club funds the agreed package and each athlete receives their own private results and report.
Club-to-athlete subsidies are available as part of a team arrangement. Your club chooses an agreed contribution and athletes cover the remaining balance.
Athletes can fund their own place within an agreed group programme and benefit from the squad rate. We confirm the booking and payment arrangements in advance.
Your proposal sets out the panel, athlete numbers, per-person rate, club contribution and any collection, travel or additional support charges. Subsidies are funded by the participating club; the contribution and payment split are agreed before booking.

Hormone results need appropriate individual context, including cycle timing or hormone treatment where relevant. Complete your Health Profile so the panel and sampling instructions can be checked.
Prices above are individual test prices. Lower team rates and club-funded or subsidised options are available through an agreed team programme. Compare the complete test range.
Your Health Profile gives the results their context. Tell us about your sport and training phase, not just the number of sessions you do each week.

Your recent training load is part of the interpretation. Follow the personalised instruction on whether to rest or deliberately test after a representative training period.
Be normally hydrated before collection. Avoid deliberately over-drinking immediately beforehand.
If you are acutely unwell, tell Longevity Lab before testing because illness can materially alter several biomarkers.
Do not stop prescribed medication unless your prescribing clinician has told you to. Record medication and timing accurately in your Health Profile.
Record supplements and recent doses. Some supplements, including biotin, can interfere with particular laboratory assays.
Other panels have their own preparation requirements. Check the full test page and your account instructions.

No. Individual competitive and recreational athletes can explore the same testing options. Choose the test for the question you want answered and ask for guidance if you are unsure.
Yes. Coordinated group bookings receive volume pricing. Clubs can pay the full cost, contribute an agreed amount towards each athlete, or arrange an athlete-funded programme at the team rate. Your proposal confirms the squad size, rate, club contribution and payment arrangements before booking.
A shared programme can simplify arrangements, but each person still needs an individual Health Profile and suitable panel. Contact us with squad numbers, ages, venue and goals so we can discuss the practical options.
Online checkout is for adults aged 18 or over buying for themselves. For academy or junior athletes under 18, contact us first to confirm whether an appropriate testing arrangement is available.
Your results and Health Profile are private. Paying for the programme does not provide access. You can choose to share your report with your own support team.
No. These are health blood tests. They do not provide an anti-doping certificate, fitness-to-play clearance, an injury diagnosis or a return-to-sport decision. Keep those decisions with your relevant clinical and sporting professionals.
There is no fixed schedule for every athlete. Agree follow-up based on the original question, your results, symptoms, training phase and any action taken.
