Terms & Conditions

Version 1.0 — effective 31 August 2026.

1. Who we are

The Longevity Lab is a trading name of Vitality Consult Ltd, company number 14070877, registered office 140 Lee Lane, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 7AF. Contact info@the-longevity-lab.co.uk.

2. The service

We arrange private laboratory testing and may provide sample collection, practitioner interpretation, personalised reports, consultations and optional nutrition or exercise plans. The exact inclusions, price, collection method, preparation requirements and estimated turnaround are shown before purchase.

The service supports health understanding and optimisation. It is not an emergency service and does not replace assessment, diagnosis or treatment from your GP, consultant or another appropriately regulated clinician.

3. Eligibility and accurate information

Online purchasing is for adults aged 18 or over. You must provide accurate identity, contact and relevant health information, follow preparation and sample instructions, and tell us about material medicines or circumstances requested in the health profile.

4. Ordering and payment

Prices shown at checkout are the total customer prices unless an optional collection or other service is added. Vitality Consult Ltd is not currently VAT registered. A contract is formed when we send the order confirmation. Optional extras require your active selection. Instalment or credit products, if offered, are provided under the payment provider's separate terms.

5. Your right to cancel

For most online service contracts you may cancel within 14 days beginning the day after the contract is made, without giving a reason. Different rules may apply to goods included in an order. Your statutory rights are not restricted by these terms.

At checkout we ask you to expressly request that The Longevity Lab begins the service immediately during the 14-day cancellation period. If you make that request and complete your purchase, we may begin fulfilment straight away, including placing your test, laboratory or kit order with a specialist provider and arranging dispatch. This can mean that third-party laboratory or kit costs are incurred shortly after purchase.

If you then cancel, we may charge a proportionate amount for services already supplied where consumer law permits. If the service has been fully performed following your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right for that service may end. We will not apply a blanket "no refunds" rule or treat a supplier cost as automatically non-refundable where the law does not permit that deduction.

Cancel by emailing us or using the model cancellation information supplied with your confirmation. Refund timing and deductions will follow applicable consumer law.

6. Laboratory partners, kits and samples

The Longevity Lab may use specialist third-party laboratories, testing providers, couriers and kit-fulfilment partners to perform parts of your service. Your purchase and service relationship remain with The Longevity Lab unless we expressly tell you otherwise. A kit sent directly to you may therefore carry the name, packaging, return materials or instructions of the specialist provider that performs or supports the laboratory work.

Once a supplier order, personalised service or laboratory analysis has begun, some costs may be irrecoverable. We will assess the actual stage reached and calculate any lawful deduction rather than applying a blanket "no refunds" rule. Kits and samples must be used, stored, labelled and returned as instructed. A sample can fail for biological, collection, transport or laboratory reasons.

7. Mobile collection

Mobile collection can normally be cancelled or rescheduled without losing the collection fee when more than 36 hours' notice is given. Within 36 hours, or for a no-show, an unprepared client or an unusable appointment caused by failure to follow instructions, the collection fee is normally used. We may waive this in exceptional circumstances. A genuine failed venepuncture is reviewed individually. These contractual rules do not remove statutory rights.

8. Turnaround and delays

Published times are estimates measured from laboratory receipt unless stated otherwise. Courier, laboratory, recollection, specialist-test or clarification delays can occur. We will communicate material delays but cannot guarantee a date where the cause is outside our reasonable control.

9. Results, reports and urgent findings

Results remain unavailable until required verification and practitioner review are complete. Reference ranges and optimisation commentary are context, not a diagnosis. Some findings may require prompt contact with a GP, NHS 111, emergency services or another clinician. You remain responsible for seeking urgent help where symptoms or advice indicate it.

We may contact you for clarification or delay release where identity, sample matching, missing values, an unresolved alert or insufficient context makes release unsafe or misleading.

10. Consultations and plans

Consultation length, delivery method and price are shown before purchase. Personalised plans are prepared from the information available and require human approval. They do not authorise prescription treatment and should be discussed with an appropriate clinician where relevant.

11. Supplements, affiliates and peptides

Supplement information must include relevant cautions and is not a guarantee of benefit. Any commercial or affiliate relationship will be disclosed near the relevant link. Peptide material, if present, is educational and must not be treated as a prescription or personalised direction to obtain or use an unlicensed medicine.

12. Your account and acceptable use

Keep login details secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. Reports and plans are prepared for the named client and must not be resold, altered to misrepresent their source, or used for another person. Do not upload unlawful content or attempt to access another client's account.

13. Intellectual property

You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use your released report or plan for your own purposes. Your underlying personal data remains yours and is handled under the Privacy Notice. The Longevity Lab retains copyright in its report design, explanatory material, methodology and templates, excluding third-party laboratory material.

14. Liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or withheld information, failure to follow instructions, use of the service as emergency or diagnostic care, or events outside our reasonable control.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how we use health and other personal information. Health-data processing requires a separate explicit consent and marketing consent is optional.

16. Complaints

Email us with the order number and issue. We will acknowledge and investigate the complaint, explain the outcome and any remedy, and identify any applicable independent escalation route. Consumer advice is available from Citizens Advice.

17. Changes and governing law

The terms accepted at checkout are stored against the order. We may update future versions but will not retrospectively replace the version governing an existing order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing mandatory consumer protections or a consumer's right to use the courts available to them.
