Research compound
BPC-157
An experimental peptide investigated in tissue and gastrointestinal research.
Also discussed as: Body Protection Compound 157
THE RESEARCH QUESTION
What is being investigated?
Research has explored responses to tissue injury and gut damage. These study questions are often presented online as established healing benefits, which goes beyond the evidence.
EVIDENCE SNAPSHOT
Early human / preclinical
A published human intravenous pilot exists, alongside preclinical work. A small safety pilot cannot establish that BPC-157 heals tendons, improves rehabilitation or is safe for repeated use.
LIMITS & SAFETY
What should you know?
Human safety and product-quality uncertainties remain.
